Ouds

Ouds: each with a unique odor profile depending on the tree's response to the fungi invading its core and additional character variations depending on the origin. Ouds come India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Moluccas and other tropical locations and vary from crisp medicinal to boozy and animalic. Perris offer to approach oud as a heart note or a base note. In their EdP version of Oud Imperial oud is floating alongside dry papyrus and bitter incense, whereas in the extrait oud is flowing slowly with labdanum and sandalwood.
