Latin for “tropical light”, Tropicum Luminis begins with a soft rush of cassis, coconut, apricot and plum — juicy but restrained — lifted by fresh aloe vera from the Canary Islands. The heart is floral, earthy, gently alive, with green pepper flickering amid ylang-ylang and peony. A woody resolution of Mysore sandalwood and Cambodian oud grounds this extrait alongside tonka bean and musk.

Inner War is an amber carnival of too-muchness, a stop at the candy floss stand, a ravenous kiss on the big wheel. This extrait is a billowing cloud of talcum powder and almond, suggesting delicate heliotrope. Curling like tendrils into the air is a phantom, licorice-like anise, adding freshness and subtle weirdness. Rose supplies the syrupy “mmmmm” that glues together ambroxan, vanilla and patchouli.

Circa 1900, the cook for the governor of Queensland was in a jam. Asked to rustle up a dessert for last-minute guests, he improvised by cutting up day-old vanilla sponge into squares, then rolling them in chocolate and coconut. The guests were impressed, and “Lord Lamington” went from being a governor to an Australian culinary tradition, and now to a perfume. This edp features the treat’s strawberry, cream, coconut and chocolate, tempered by the crisp aromatics of bergamot and clary sage. The amber drydown lets you know you’re wearing a perfume and not a cake.

This fragrance evokes the bittersweet beauty of love lost and longed for. The complex sweetness of lychee and davana lead into the plush pleasures of rose oil, oud, leather and musk, sharpened with incense. The poetry of memories.

Inspired by the mythical nectar of the gods, Ambrosia opens with the sweet, delicate notes of plumeria and mango, layered with the lush richness of peach, lychee, and coconut. With Chameleon Zoologist continue the theme of tropical habitats full of heavenly exotic flowers. In this perfume you can experience them as a little creature with independently mobile eyes traveling in the thick lush canopies past plumeria blossom, ylang-ylang and other exotic blooms of the island of Madagascar. There are further fragrant hints as to the geographical location of the plot: accords of sea breeze, coconut, mango as well as the notes of vanilla and vetiver.

So sway on a branch of ylang-ylang with Chameleon while being caressed by a spicy vanilla breeze from the Indian ocean.

The Elephant’s formula has a fresh air nuance and violet leaves in the opening. The heart layer is sandalwood highlighted with ambery kohinool material and the base has accords of chocolate and coconut milk, both used to enhance effect of sandalwood rather than turn fragrance into a gourmand.

Fun fact: Elephant was originally meant to be a spicy chai and sandalwood fragrance to represent India. The sandalwood idea stayed, but the idea of elephants in their habitation led to the green, fresh and leafy top instead.

Inspired by St James's Park, a quick promenade away from our Jermyn Street shop, one of London’s oldest Royal Parks, surrounded by some of the country’s most famous landmarks and lush greenery.
Creamy sweet and bitter green aromas encompass the shoreline of the blissful lake towered by an abundance of fig trees, immense in scale with elongated deciduous leaves flaunting their architectural foliage, believed to be the largest in Britain.

Mulberry Fig is a scent that evokes a floral amber fragrance combining the soft powdery character of orris with hints of fruit and spice. The perfume opens with a sparkle of fig and cardamom supported from the heart with fragrant green tones of vetiver and cypress. Amyris, cedarwood and sandalwood emphasise the overall woody character that permeates through the perfume.

Warm, spicy and friendly, this extrait summons the good and protects you from the bad. A nutty haze of coconut a-swirl with cardamom, walnut and nutmeg soon deepens with the plush lushness of jasmine and iris. Fig, richly sweet and vegetal, adds contrast, while sandalwood provides cozy, just-out-of-focus grounding that is mellow and milky.
