Musk Extreme is a replica of the aromas and a dedication to animalic musks that were at the base of most perfumes before the era of synthetics. For instance, Chanel No 5's formula was around 1/3 of civet and 1/3 castoreum supporting its amazing floral ingredients. In Musk Extreme Perris pay tribute to vintage civet and deer musk, mixing powdery aldehydes, orris and molecules that are the same as those giving the unique sensual (or even naughty) aroma to animals' secretions (but are now synthesized in a lab rather than taken from animals).

A battle royale between jasmine and oud, where everyone’s a winner. Oud in White opens on a zest of pear, ginger, and raspberry, before revealing its true intentions with jasmine sambac’s shocking sensuality. Separately, the aromas of rose, pear, patchouli, strawberry, vanilla and sandalwood are objectively appealing. But combined with fecal civet, rotting cucumber and burnt rubber, V.I.T.R.I.O.L. evokes the odour of a garbage dump where a man is digging his own grave.

I was inspired while visiting Kew Gardens in London in May. Every May there are hundreds of blooming magnolia trees in different sorts, sizes, scents and colours. Usually it is a very rainy season and my inspiration was to create a scent of the water and rain on magnolia trees.  

The symbol of this modern perfume is an American modern dance pioneer Ruth St. Denis. She is not only a very talented performer, but also very feminine.

Heaven on earth: Alamut.

If we were to believe Marco Polo’s story - Alamut was the fortress and headquarters of the order of assassins. In Alamut among other things, according to Marco, the new recruits could experience the demo version of heaven. An assassin to be would be inebriates by some potion (even though Marco never mention which drug it was, highly likely it was hashish). Then the recruit would be taken to a pleasure garden with drinks, food and beautiful maiden. Afterwards the head of the order would explain that absolute loyalty and fearless determination would guarantee an afterlife of this kind.
