Organic disobedience from Crazy Nose Alessandro Gualtieri. Micodelerio is a fantasy of mushrooms in their natural environment: clustered among the wet soil and decaying leaves of the forest floor. Earthy/sweet beetroot plays against moss and a ticklish saltiness, before woody patchouli asserts itself. The strangeness resolves into a petrichor-drenched amber.

The intelligent and devious and boar strides confidently under the forest canopy. Hunger fuels his progress. Apples, fallen leaves and mushrooms swirl in the atmosphere around him. His fur is perfumed by the deep green conifer and galbanum. The fragrant blend of leather, vetiver, and truffle denote the damp moss, sweat and scratched bark. 

The wild side of the indomitable goat swirling with the learthery darkness of the mountain roads. Mushrooms and truffles conjur the habitat; and the dirty, bestial, almost aggressive side of the creature is felt through goat's milk, costus and oud. An earthy, woody, animalic fragrance denoting strength and virility. 

Giuseppe Arcimboldo was the 16th century Italian painter famous for his fantastical portraits of human heads composed of vegetables, flowers, fruits and books. In this extrait, the grill is a canvas, delicately charring an abundance of greenery. There’s the bitterness of artichoke, the aquatic gleam of celery, the sweetness of tomato, the richness of carrot, the umami of mushroom, the spearmint of nepetella, the fresh-cut grass of bell pepper. Rosa cymosa’s syrupy compote nuance brushes a jammy glaze across this artwork.

This collaboration with Dia Art Foundation and American artist Meg Webster is an earthy, layered scent. Notes of geranium and frankincense sit on top of a mushroom accord that feels plucked from the dirt. Madagascar patchouli and sandalwood envelop green organic notes.

Meg Webster is best known for her sculptures composed of salt, earth, sand, and other natural materials, powerful statements built to disintegrate. The dramatic silver pyramid packaging is a work of art in itself, referencing Webster’s sculptural vocabulary.  The mirrored surface nods to ephemeral encounters with nature, while the bracketed pictogram emblazoned on the packaging references a motif from her early works.

A haunted perfume for a life clawed back after a near-death experience. Walking out the door of the abandoned house where you used to live, you collapse face-first into the garden, choking on the smell of violets and your red fruit lipstick. You kiss the earth with your dirty lips, sucking life back into your soul.

A thick woody-balsamic perfume: dense and bitter-sweet. Rich tuberose, earthy boletus mushroom absolute, soft vanilla, sweet patchouli, spicy green pepper and cognac oil. Such a variety of opulent materials and notes offers the sense that you are immersed in the beautiful and never-ending black beyond.

Nigredo is the alchemist's study of darkness and shadows; the first stage one must take in creating the Philosopher's Stone. Anna Zworykina turns alchemist as she harnesses the fragrance for everlasting life.

Further notes in the unique and exceptionally rich scent include: sandalwood,
