The perfumer: Prin Lomros (also the creator behind PRIN, Prissana and Strangers.)

The story: chillin in a mossy rainforest.

Sloth is beautifully slow green perfume. The formula is lazily climbing from the dark green of moss, hay and in the base – up – towards bright green of marigold and herbs in the top.

All about this fragrance

Vibe check

This is a scent for close, unhurried company and a low voice, when the room can hold humidity, moss, and a little silence. It suits someone who likes their presence to feel textured rather than loud, with an earthy, green aura that lingers like shade after rain.

How to wear

Best in cool to mild weather, where its damp green notes and mossy base can unfold without feeling heavy. One or two sprays are enough: it has an extrait concentration and a steady, above-average presence, so it wears well on skin and leaves a soft earthy trail in the air.

Who it’s for

For lovers of green, earthy, and unconventional perfumes who enjoy herbal florals, damp woods, and a touch of animalic depth. It will appeal to anyone drawn to niche compositions that feel naturalistic, moody, and slightly off the beaten path.

The nose

Prin Lomros is a Thai perfumer known for richly textured, atmospheric compositions that often lean botanical, resinous, and slightly surreal. He works across his own projects PRIN, Prissana, and Strangers, and his style often balances lush naturalism with an offbeat, handcrafted edge. For Zoologist, Lomros brought that signature density to Sloth, shaping a green, humid landscape that feels both meditative and strange. The fragrance shows his talent for making unconventional materials feel coherent and immersive, turning moss, hay, mushroom, and herbs into a slow-moving, deeply tactile composition.

Collaborators

Victor Wong, Zoologist’s founder and creative director, shaped the brand’s animal-led concept and selected Prin Lomros for the project, helping define the brief and overall creative direction. Lomros then translated that vision into the finished formula, giving Sloth its slow, mossy rainforest character.

Zoologist’s story

Zoologist builds fragrances as imaginative portraits of the animal kingdom, using scent, illustration, and story to create compositions that are often bold, eccentric, and deliberately outside the mainstream. The house gives independent perfumers room to work freely, which is why its collection ranges from approachable to challenging while staying distinctly artistic.

Sloth’s concept

Sloth was released in 2020 as part of Zoologist’s late-April launch alongside Bat. The concept draws on the animal’s slow life in the rainforest canopy, turning that sheltered, moss-covered world into a green extrait that moves from damp shade and hay toward brighter herbs and florals. The result is meant to feel tranquil, dreamy, and slightly strange, like a leafy refuge above the forest floor.

Extra info

Sloth arrived in 2020 as an extrait de parfum and became one of Zoologist’s more unusual green compositions. Its note structure includes chamomile, açaí berry, lavender, marigold, beeswax, frankincense, myrrh, mushroom, oakmoss, vanilla, and tonka, giving it a layered, forest-floor feel.
