Dark Honey - Ourte - Bloom Perfumery

Dark Honey is a languorous, feral situation that plays around with bottom-heavy materials: baked peach, plum liqueur, dark vanilla, rum, patchouli. And the star of the show, honey — in all of its dirty, animalic glory.

Perfumer: Camille Chemardin

All about this fragrance

Vibe check

The plates have been cleared, but the conversation stays close and unhurried. Baked fruit and rum retain the warmth of dessert, while dirty honey and patchouli shift the mood away from comfort toward something more intimate and deliberate.

How to wear

Start with one spray on the torso or a single pulse point, then assess before adding more. The dense honey, liqueur and vanilla accord is best approached in cool weather; warmth may make its sweetness feel heavier. A restrained application keeps the animalic edge from overwhelming close quarters.

Who it’s for

For lovers of dense gourmands who want more than pastry sweetness. Dark Honey suits a taste for boozy fruit, resinous vanilla and patchouli, with an animalic honey note that asks for an appetite for something less polished and more provocative.

The nose

Camille Chemardin, a perfumer with the Flair Paris team, created Dark Honey as well as OURTE’s Hey Bxtch! Here, her brief was to give honey a darker, adult character, bringing gourmand richness together with an animalic undercurrent.

Collaborators

OURTE founder Daniel Leitner provides the concepts, fantasies and creative direction that guide the house’s perfumers. For Dark Honey, that conceptual framework brought together the brand’s themes of sensuality, food and its “Orient” world around a dark-honey brief; Camille Chemardin composed the fragrance.

Ourte’s story

OURTE treats perfume as a source of pleasure and changing self-expression, not a fixed signature. Its “Gourmand 2.0” approach explores darker, unconventional forms of edible scent, while the Experience Menu presents fragrances like courses to be explored through appetite and desire.

Dark Honey’s concept

Dark Honey began with a brief to unite OURTE’s three thematic worlds—sensuality, food and “Orient”—through honey. Rather than making a straightforward dessert scent, the composition explores honey’s dirty, animalic side against baked fruit, liqueur and dark vanilla.

Extra info

Dark Honey is an extrait de parfum at 30% concentration. Its fruit accord pairs baked peach with plum liqueur, while rum appears among the base notes rather than in the opening.
