Important notice:

Anna Zworykina’s blends are olfactive smellscapes (but neither aromatherapy, nor ‘spray-and-go’ perfumes). Her blends are sensory experiences, closer to works of art created in the scented plane (rather than, say, visual or audio).

Certain essential oils and absolutes that are used in her 100% natural perfumes may potentially cause allergies in some people. Please spray Anna Zworykina’s blends on fabric (on sleeves, scarves, etc.). This said, Anna Zworykina has acquired a huge fan base over many years and people interacted with her blends for quite a while now. We are not aware of any reports of any skin reactions so far.

However, Anna advises that those who are prone to allergic reactions, pregnant and nursing women, as well as people with chronic illnesses to be extra careful. Before trying natural blends, study the list of ingredients and consult with a doctor if you are not sure or a had a history of allergies. If you do decide to put these blends on your skin (unable to resist the temptation) always test the blend on the inside part of your elbow first and wait.

Do not spray these blends liberally as a cloud in the way you would spray a conventional perfume. Anna’s smellscapes need to be… carefully applied and experienced. Be mindful that some oils can also make your skin hyper-sensitive to UV.

All about this fragrance

Vibe check

For a quiet interval when the noise of the day has receded: bitter herbs and cedar suggest the stillness beneath tall conifers, while incense adds a contemplative undertone. Its register is unhurried and inward-looking, with woodland texture rather than sweetness setting the mood.

How to wear

Despite its cold mountain imagery, the house recommends it for hot weather. Apply sparingly to a sleeve or scarf rather than spraying a cloud, allowing the herbal opening and resinous smoke to unfold gradually. Check fabric compatibility first; the brand advises caution with skin application because natural essences can cause allergies and some may increase UV sensitivity.

Who it’s for

For those drawn to bitter green aromatics, coniferous woods and resinous incense rather than sugary or plush compositions. It suits a taste for botanical texture and landscape-inspired perfumery, where freshness can feel rugged and the drydown quietly smoky.

The nose

Anna Zworykina is the founder and perfumer of her independent house, working exclusively with natural essences. Her compositions approach perfume as a sensory artwork, using the textures of botanical materials to evoke landscapes and imagined worlds. Wind from Mount Kailash expresses this approach through aromatic woodland freshness, resins and incense smoke.

Anna Zworykina’s story

Anna Zworykina creates handcrafted natural perfumes with an independent, deliberately unconventional spirit. The house describes its ethos as “perfumery punk”: freedom from prescribed tastes, careful work with natural materials and fragrance experienced as an imaginative smellscape rather than a finishing accessory.

Wind from mount Kailash’s concept

Part of the house’s Landscape Perfumes collection, Wind from Mount Kailash imagines air moving through a sacred mountain landscape. Its narrative draws on Kailash’s association with Shiva and a legend of Garuda birds protecting people from nagas. Cold aromatic freshness gives way to resins and incense, ending in a lingering impression of Tibetan-incense smoke.

Extra info

The fragrance also appears under the shorter name Wind from Kailash and the Russian title Ветер с Кайласа. Its mountain-cold imagery contrasts with the house’s recommendation to wear it in hot weather.
