Inspired by the traditional Provençal sweet Calisson, an almond-shaped paste of candied fruit topped with fondant icing. This edp launches with bergamot and sugary milk. Technically tonka are nuts as they come from a tree (whereas a bean is a seed of a legume). ‘Tonka beans’ is a misnomer but also phrase used to refer to them in perfumery, cooking, etc. In Happy Nuts tonka is key note contributing to the delicious nuts roasted in caramel fragrant idea. The name could be a suggestive euphemism or just a reference to tonka being promoted to their accurate botanical rank – nuts.

The spirited country girl arrives in the bustle of the city, determined to change her status to “anything but innocent”. That’s Sweet Lure, bubbling with naughty possibilities. Cinnamon and lily-of-the-valley swirl in a bamboozling haze of neroli and vanilla, keeping things alluring but fun.

A beguiling fog of vanilla pod, tonka bean and hazelnut, swirled through with almond and coconut milk. Airy green jasmine allows the sweetness to stay on the right side of unrelenting, while crème brûlée and long-lasting musk ensure this haze is more than a phase.
