Delulu is a soft-focus dream sequence in oversaturated colours, swirling across a soundtrack of shoegaze and nineties/noughties indie.This particular sequence follows childhood into adolescence: a favourite toy, a pack of crayons, a melted sweet in your jeans pocket, a bite of berry pie, a long sunny day doing nothing. There’s fizzy cedrat and the salty-fresh friction of tart rhubarb against rooty vetiver. Like all dreams, things get weird: a niff of rosy plastic and smoky incense. Tropical-la-la-la! Guava Sorbet sings out with juicy mandarin, fresh guava and tart passionfruit. This abundance of tropical playfulness gets a posh gloss with peachy osmanthus and sultry jasmine. It’s sunshine in a bottle.

A symphony of synthetics creates the airiest cloud of billowy aldehydes and ozonic florals. Soft, solar, sensuous.

Parfum 1 is where Fugazzi began, inspired by founder Bram Niessink’s trip to Egypt and the discovery of ancient perfume oils. Parfum 1 is a bold blend of bright and dark fruits, made mysterious by patchouli and cedarwood. The fresh top notes of citrus and blackcurrant are insinuating, gracefully riding a woody wave of sandalwood and musk. The effect is leathery, with a faint kiss of apple pie.

Qi is part of the Four Corners of the Earth collection and represents Cathay, the legendary land where people for millennia believed in the concept of energy flows. Qi is the flow of life running through everything, invisible but essential.

It’s in the blooming flowers, the zing of spices, the tonic properties of green tea, and beyond. Qi the perfume has symbolic references to both the land and the notion of qi: Chinese osmanthus, green tea, zesty citruses, and a barely detectable to our noses molecule, hedione, which amplifies the aroma of blossoming florals. This molecule propels the blend of Qi in a gentle but confident way.

Qi has a stong green facette that comes from the tea leaves note. The house invites you to travel back in time to ancient Cathay and tea merchants' caravans making their way through vast verdant tea plantations.

The name of the perfume can be interpreted in two ways. It’s a literal reference to the rich history and culture of India: hawab or nabob meaning ‘the ruler’, and Oudh the historical name of the modern day Uttar Pradesh region. However, given the current fashion for oud perfumes, you can interpret the name “the oud to rule them all’.

Nawab of Oudh has the complex architecture of many ingredients, surrounding the oud heart deep within. And on the way there, you will travel through layers of cardamom and other fresh spices, extravagant garlands of exotic flowers, the sea breeze of ambergris, and more.
