From the master perfume responsible for most of the Xerjoff range, Moon Glade is a very unconventional take on lavender. The perfumer added a charred coconut shell nuance and poured sweet peach compote to the clean musky vibes of the herb.

Opponax: fun to say, fun to smell. Yin launches with this spicy-sweet resin, twinned with the fruity-booziness of davana. Labdanum and benzoin keep it cuddly.

As the sun sinks over the dense tropical forest, civets emerge warily from the thickets. Under a carpet of narcotic flower blossoms, a smattering of coffee berries peppers the ground. The moist air is heavy with mossy aromas that penetrate every crevice, but the musky scent of the civets dominates; their marked territory daring one to enter at one’s own risk.

Civet pays homage to the age-old ingredient, civet, as well as chypre perfumes of bygone days – perfumes that refused to be intimidated by raw, alluring, animalistic musks. Civet is a moody and complex brew entwined in mystery. It opens with a spicy floral accord, threaded through with dark coffee tones. Slowly it prowls forward, unraveling base notes of leather, moss and vanilla that combines with distinctive civet musk to create a bewildering, sophisticated scent with the promise of a sultry nighttime rendezvous.

More is less. Orchestrated with just three main ingredients. One: Iso-e-Super (with its sensation of soft, transparent wood). Two: white amber (with its comforting, almost skin-like warmth). Three: orange (lavishly applied). The effect: a warm/fresh velvetiness that intensifies the longer it lives on the skin.

This perfume is part of Perris 'perfume gold' collection celebrating staple vintage materials and the formula is a true recreation of sweet the salty/vanillic haze of ambergris with that alluring radiating volume only ambergris would have.

The green and intoxicating notes of the Chiribasa Valley, lost among the peaks of the Himalayas and near the sources of the Ganges, blend in the air to create a spontaneous, spicy incense. This is the inspiration for Atmayatra, a name composed of two Sanskrit terms Atma (soul) and Yatra (pilgrimage), which seeks to evoke a pilgrimage of the soul. The sumptuous green notes of holy basil tulsi and cannabis, plants that grow freely in the landscape of northern India, mix with the muddy smell of the Ganges River. The result is sun-baked aromatics washed by Himalayan storms, not “comfortable” or simple, but always memorable.

The Illuminata Collection is distinguished by their bottles’ photoluminescent caps. Light absorbed during the day glows in the dark of night, representing the occult mystery conjured by the fragrance.

As the blare of a jazz band fills the room, sensual wafts of rose and tonka bean arise from the flushed skin of couples on the dance floor. Invigorating sage intertwines with the percussive patterns of the dancers. This dazzling night doesn’t last forever, but it leaves behind a musky memory that makes you want to do it all over again.

Its vibrant opening with fruity notes is enriched by the bitterness of coffee, deepening into a powerful chorus of rose, iris, jasmine and lily of the valley. And this valley is a deep one, a soft black expanse of leather, nagarmotha and patchouli, cushioned by a dirtier-than-usual amber.
